Burn log
Every 30 minWhat $PLAY is
How a burn happens
- A flip settles and its burn share joins the queue.
- Every 30 minutes the queue buys $PLAY on the market, with a 2% slippage cap.
- The tokens are burned in the same transaction and the bot posts it.
- Each proof page links the burn its flip was part of.
Straight answers
Will the price go up?
No promises. Burns only happen when games settle. No games, no burns.
Do I need $PLAY to play?
No. It doesn't lower your fee and it doesn't vote on anything.
Can the fee change?
It's 4%. Any change is pinned on X 7 days before it applies.
Team tokens?
Launched on pump.fun. Dev wallet and any team buys are listed here with addresses at launch.
How it works
Everything about a flip, from the tweet to the burn.
A match, step by step
- Log in with X. Your handle links to one UsePlay balance.
- Deposit SOL.
- Tweet a challenge that tags
@useplaybot. - The bot checks your account and balance, holds your stake, and replies with a challenge card.
- Someone replies
accept. - Both stakes lock in escrow on-chain.
- Randomness is requested and revealed on-chain.
- The winner is paid the pot minus 4%.
- The bot posts the result and the proof link in the same thread.
- The burn share joins the next $PLAY buyback.
Commands
| Command | Where | What happens |
|---|---|---|
@useplaybot flip 2 sol | New tweet | Open flip. The first person to accept takes it. |
@useplaybot flip 2 sol heads | New tweet | You call heads, the taker gets tails. |
@useplaybot flip 2 sol vs @alice | New tweet | Only @alice can accept. |
accept or accept tails | Reply | Takes the flip. The side only counts if the creator didn't pick one. |
cancel | Reply | Creator only, before anyone accepts. Full refund. |
@useplaybot host flip 0.1-5 sol | New tweet | Opens a table for 24h. Flips in that thread earn you 10% of the fee. |
The bot's card shows the amount, sides, time left, whether each player is funded, and the proof link. If you're short on balance, it replies with your deposit link and nothing else.
How commands are read
- Only the first line counts. Banter goes on line two.
- Case and extra spaces don't matter.
2solworks. - X adds @mentions to the start of replies; those are ignored. New challenges must include
@useplaybot. handtwork. Side andvscan go in either order.- 0.05 to 25 SOL, up to 2 decimals. The word
solis required. - Any extra word on the first line rejects the command and the bot names the word.
- Edits are ignored. The bot reads the original tweet.
Match states
| Change | When | Money |
|---|---|---|
| draft → open | The bot accepts the tweet | Creator's stake is held |
| open → locked | A funded player replies accept | Both stakes move into escrow on-chain |
| locked → settled | Randomness is revealed and checked | Winner paid, fee split booked |
| open → cancelled | Creator replies cancel | Full refund, no fee |
| open → expired | Nobody accepts within 5 minutes | Full refund, no fee |
Once locked, a match can only end settled. If randomness is slow to reveal, it's requested again. The stakes stay in escrow the whole time.
Fees and burns
pot = stake × 2 fee = pot × 4% winner = pot − fee operations = fee × 70% burn = fee × 20% (30% if no host) host = fee × 10% (table flips only)
Math runs in lamports and rounds down. Leftover lamports go to operations, so the numbers always add up exactly. The burn queue is spent every 30 minutes; if the price moves more than 2%, it waits for the next round.
Proof pages
Every flip has a page at useplay.fun/p/<number> showing:
- Both X handles and user IDs, and the challenge, accept and result tweet IDs.
- Stake and sides.
- The escrow lock transaction, which lands before randomness is requested.
- The randomness source, account, value and the rule that turns it into heads or tails.
- The payout transaction.
- The fee split, and whether its burn has happened yet.
Limits
- You need a linked X account. One balance per handle.
- X accounts under 30 days old or under 25 followers can't play.
- One open challenge per account. Max 20 accepts an hour.
- 0.05 to 25 SOL per player.
- No flips between accounts that share a funding wallet, withdrawal address or device.
- New accounts wait 24h on their first withdrawal.
- Region is checked at login, deposit and withdrawal. Restricted regions are blocked.
Safety and risk
| Risk | What we do |
|---|---|
| Gambling rules | Operate only under a gaming licence and only where it applies. Geo-blocks at login, deposit and withdrawal. ID checks above withdrawal thresholds. |
| Under-18 users | 18+ confirmation before any deposit, X account age and follower minimums, ID checks on larger totals. |
| X rules and bot limits | The bot only replies where it was tagged. No DMs, strict rate limits. Payouts and proofs don't depend on X, so matches still settle if the bot is limited. |
| Holding funds | Each match has its own on-chain escrow. Small hot wallet, the rest in cold storage. Public proof of reserves. |
| Self-flipping | Every flip costs 4%. Linked-account checks. Flagged accounts are removed from leaderboards and host payouts. |
| Problem play | Deposit limits, 24h breaks and self-exclusion. Limits apply instantly and take 24h to loosen. |
Under the hood
- Deposits: each user gets their own deposit address. Deposits are credited once finalized and moved to the vault.
- Escrow: an on-chain program holds funds. Accepting moves both stakes into a per-match escrow that only the settle step can release.
- Bot: reads mentions into a queue, handles each tweet exactly once, and retries replies without doubling them.
- Randomness: an on-chain randomness oracle, requested after both stakes lock so no one knows the result in advance. Last byte even means heads.
- Burns: a worker swaps the queue for $PLAY every 30 minutes and burns it in the same transaction.
